eYeka Cannes 2015 speakersBy 2025 Millenials will make-up 75% of the workforce. “Disengaged”, “entitled”, “self-centered”, much have been said about the challenges in engaging them. One thing is for sure: they will shake things up! Take Nirina, a 25 year-old French creator who shot a mini zombie-flick for KLM that drew 1.2M views. He prefers to work alone and shapes the brief according to Youtube’s guidelines instead of the brand’s guidelines. Where does that leave the traditional top-down, “big idea” marketing approach?

How do you rewrite the creative playbook to attract and retain such talents? Are agencies the best platform to inspire their creativity? How can a brand engage those who take pride in making rather than buying? At this year’s Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, we will host a provocative session in which Gen-Y creators will discuss their creative inspiration and how brands, and their agencies could better engage with them to unlock their creative potential.

Come attend our « WHAT IF MY CREATIVE DIRECTOR WAS 25 YEARS OLD? » talk, brought to you by eYeka, on Saturday June 27th at 1245 in the Debussy Theatre.

The talk will be presented by Joël Céré, Insights & Innovation Director at eYeka, as well as two community members: Nirina Ragomaharisoa (winner of the KLM contest and AIDES contests) and Charly Dheulin (winner of the Pop Tops contest). At the confluence of strategy and creativity, Joël Céré harnesses the collective creative power of a community of 300,000 creators and a network of planners and creative directors to help brands innovate their marketing and communication.

Ex-agency man, he led global change management programs for Aegis, was lead brand strategist for Bates 141, consulted in planning and copywriting for Dentsu, led the development of Hill & Knowlton’s social media practice as a EMEA VP (voted as Europe’s best in the 2004 Holmes Report) and led the financial, healthcare and consumer goods practice as well as the strategic planning offer for Grey Interactive in the UK.

Passionate about innovation, disruptive ideas and brand strategy, Joël also dabbed in startups, co-founding one of Singapore’s first digital agency, a social shopping venture in California and advising ventures in non-profit luxury hospitality and prestige personalisation for technology. He has a keen interest in contemporary art, eco-preservation, futurecasting and becoming editor-at-large for Food & Travel. He holds a MBA from the London Business School.

Nirina Ragomaharisoa  graduated from a French Business School but his true passions are dancing, music and making videos.

A self-taught videographer, he moved to Singapore after graduation to work as a video manager to develop his skills. That is when he joined eYeka, a crowdsourcing platform that connects creative with brands. So far he has won five prizes within a year for KLM, Panasonic, AIDES… Thanks to these contests he found the confidence to follow his passions to the fullest.

Today he works in a communication agency in Madagascar as a senior account manager and still continues participating in video contests.

Charlie Dheulin eYekaCharlie Dheulin

Charly-dh, a young 23 year-old Belgian creator, has won 7 contests in 57 participations on eYeka. He ranks among the top 10 eYeka members based on his Creative Score and his creative ideas have inspired brands like Pop Tops in marketing communication projects.

When Schweppes Australia challenged eYeka’s creative community to create bright, simple and playful print ads with catchy taglines to convince moms that Pop-Tops is a fun and refreshing drink that brings happiness to their kids, it was this Belgian creator’s idea that convinced the Schweppes Australia team. His print ad idea was consumer-tested and the print ad concept went on to be featured in food magazines like Taste Magazine and Super Food Ideas. It also was used as OOH advertising in retail stores such as Shopalites and the Warringah mall.
