Should consumer creativity be recognized at the Cannes Lions?

The biggest celebration of creativity, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity only recognizes « professional creativity ». We believe that everyone can show creative brilliance. Just look at the amazing videos, animations and artworks created by talented people from all walks of life on Youtube, Facebook or co-creation platforms like eYeka. A brilliant piece of creative work created by an individual passionate about a brand will go unnoticed at Cannes, even if it garners millions of views online…

We want the Cannes Lions’ organizers and participants to discover that creative talents exist outside the four walls of agencies by opening a new « consumer creativity » category at the next Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

If  you think that « consumers » should have a chance to showcase their creativity too at the Cannes Lions, visit our Facebook page: where we campaign for a new « consumer » category to be opened.

Share your views.

We are also discussing it on Twitter: #ROLCannes
