A few months ago, I mentioned in an interview with Crowdsourcing.org that 2013 would be the year when crowdsourcing finally crosses the chasm and enters the mainstream. We are proud today to announce that we have entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Unilever on co-creation. Our appointment is official as of the 1st of June 2013 and covers markets across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Russia and South Africa.
The Unilever and eYeka partnership is a world-first because of its strategic nature and ambition. This is a strong signal that confirms that crowdsourcing is being recognized as a business accelerator. We have long advocated turning to consumers for ideas and content as a source of competitive advantage so we are thrilled to partner with Unilever to bring this approach to a new scale. The eYeka community has already worked with a number of Unilever brands such as Clear, Close Up, Comfort, Cornetto, Lifebuoy, Lipton, Lux, Pond’s.
