Yesterday, I had the privilege to present crowdsourcing in the food & drink at the FDIN’s « How do we set up NPD to succeed? » innovation seminar in London. I started by defining crowdsourcing, for which I like Daren Brabham’s definition very much, and then I presented some examples and data taken from the crowdsourcing timeline. Followed a brief presentation of eYeka and some case studies from Nescafé, Coca-Cola, Danone, Mini Oreo and another FMCG company.
Wonderfully organized by Jeffrey Hyman (FDIN Chairman) and Sue Lister (Director), and chaired by marketing and brand strategy author and media speaker Rita Clifton, I would advise anyone interested in innovation in the food & drink industry, even beyond the UK, to attend one of these semimars. The audience was very interested and it was a pleasure to interact with innovation and marketing managers, as well as consultants and researchers, during the day. Follow the @FDINUK for updates.
